On Friday evening January 25, 2008, the Advance Fire Department lost a very important mentor. Barry Brown was a long time member of our Department serving in many different capacities such as Executive Board of Directors President and Vice President. Barry was a Firefighter, Traffic Controller and a very loyal member. Barry helped form a Building Committee over 3 years ago. His work has helped our Department design a building that fits in our Community and that meets our Department’s current and future needs. Barry’s valuable leadership will be greatly missed by our Department and the community.

On 3-26-08 station's 12 and 15 were dispatched to a MVA with rollover first arriving unit reported no injuries. UNITS E-1203,E-1505,QRV-1508
Advance and Fork fire dept. were dispatched to a reported structure fire 2-25-08 first arriving unit arrived on scene to find a fully involved structure. Defensive attack was made. UNITS E-1201,E-1203,E-1505,E-1506
